Get to know Dr Ghani

My Story

Dr Salma Ghani is a highly experienced General Practitioner in the Solihull and Redditch area. She has over two decades of clinical experience and is known for her compassionate, thorough, and patient-centred approach to care. Currently she is working in a local NHS GP practice in Redditch.

Dr Ghani graduated from Rawalpindi Medical College, Pakistan, in 2001 and moved to the UK in 2004. She gained extensive experience in hospital medicine, including gynaecology, paediatrics, and general medicine, before completing her GP training. She achieved her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice in 2017 and has since worked as an established GP.

She holds the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG) and has a strong special interest in women’s health. Dr Ghani provides expert care for a wide range of gynaecological concerns and is particularly experienced in the assessment and management of perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms, offering evidence-based and individualised treatment plans.

Patients consistently describe Dr Ghani as calm, approachable, and attentive. She is known for taking time to listen, explaining conditions and treatment options clearly, and supporting patients through shared decision-making to achieve the best possible health outcomes.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Ghani values maintaining a healthy work–life balance. She is a mother of three and brings excellent organisational and time-management skills to her practice. Outside work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and travelling with her family.
